Nothing too exciting to report here. I worked last Saturday and we said goodbye to some friends moving away on Sunday. J and I still haven’t managed to watch Star Wars Episode III, next on his watching order (IV, VII, V, I, II, III, VI? or IV and V again but in English this time?).
So here’s some interesting stuff I read this week.
From the Atlantic: What’s a language, anyway? On the difference—or lack of—between a dialect and a language. Beautifully written, I think.
57 Ways to Sign off on an E-mail: Not recent at all, but I was looking for tips to give to my tourism students on writing e-mails and have since resolved to use all of these in 2016 (my first and only resolution for the year).
Five Guys is Coming to France: I used to work here and thanks to their free meal policy for workers, I perfected my Five Guys burger: light lettuce, grilled onions, ketchup, hot sauce, pickle relish, cheese. I’m salivating just thinking about it. Oh the bacon dogs (with Hebrew National kosher hot dogs). GET IN MY BELLY.
